What matters on a commercial loss
- Speed of stabilisation. Extraction and containment first, so the affected area stops growing.
- Separation. Containment barriers and negative air where needed, so the rest of the building keeps working.
- Records per unit or area. Photos, readings and scope broken out the way insurers and owners need them.
- One point of contact. A single person who gives you updates you can pass on to tenants and owners.
- Insurance paperwork. Certificates of insurance supplied before we step on site.
Before something happens
If you manage buildings, it helps to know where the main shut-offs are, who holds keys after hours and who is authorised to approve emergency work. Sort that out in advance and the first hour of a loss goes much better.

Common questions
Can you work outside business hours to limit disruption?
Yes. Noisy or disruptive work can be scheduled for evenings and weekends where the building and its tenants allow.
A leak has affected several units. Who do you deal with?
We take direction from whoever engages us, normally the property manager or the corporation, and document each unit separately so the corporation's insurer and each owner's or tenant's insurer have what they need.
Can part of the building stay open during the work?
Usually. Containment keeps the work area separate so unaffected areas can keep operating. Where contamination or structural safety is in question we will say so plainly.
Damage does not wait for business hours. Neither do we.
